Two new visual tagging and search tools that have come to our attention recently:

We heart it

We heart it, is a new social bookmarking site for images and videos. According to the community creators:

We see many great images on blogs and websites around, and now you can put everything you saw and liked on the same page to look again whenever you want.

You install a bookmark into your browser and tag / bookmark images for future reference. And, taking the form of a kind of visual 'digg', you see what other users have 'hearted' and can rate / heart it too.

Compflight

Compflight is a flickr search bar designed for advertising art directors so they can pull up images fast.

Built by San Francisco ad creatives Bryan Denman and Ryan Teuscher, it can filter through pictures that have a creative commons license.

Though in theory made for the ad community, it's useful for just about anyone doing a visual search.
